Maimouna Ndiaye
FOUNDER
Maimouna is a lifelong advocate for child welfare and social change in African countries. After an internship in Senegal, she returned to the U.S. determined to address the country’s child security crisis. Since 2018, she has focused on improving children's living conditions through health, education policy, and community-driven impact.
As a trained epidemiologist and Doctor of Public Health student, Maimouna applies a data-driven, health-centered approach to child welfare, emphasizing the connection between health outcomes and policy. In 2019, she founded the Africa Children’s Foundation (ACF) and now serves as its Executive Director, leading sustainable initiatives to improve the well-being of children and women

Fatoumata Diop
Health Sustainability Chair
Fatoumata serves as the Health Sustainability Chair at ACF, working to improve healthcare access for women and girls in underserved communities. Originally from the Bronx, New York, she has five years of experience as a Patient Care Technician, focusing on patient-centered care.
With a strong clinical and research background, Fatoumata is passionate about addressing health disparities and improving accessibility. Aspiring to become a physician, she aims to serve underserved communities, particularly in Senegal, her home country. At ACF, she leads initiatives that provide education, resources, and care to promote sustainable health solutions.

Dhruv Shah
Health Data Analyst
As a Health Data Analyst at Africa Children's Foundation, Dhruv analyzes and visualizes health data to support breast and cervical cancer initiatives in Senegal. He develops interactive dashboards, ensures data accuracy, and contributes to reports that inform health policies and community interventions. With a background in business analytics and data science, Dhruv is passionate about using data to drive meaningful public health impact.

Ouly Sarr
Global Affairs Delegate- Senegal Office
Ouly is a passionate advocate for the empowerment and development of women and youth. Since 2019, Sarr has led all of ACF's projects in Senegal and currently serves as the global affairs delegate. Throughout her career, she has dedicated herself to creating meaningful change in rural communities, leveraging over 20 years of experience in rural development to improve the lives of others. As the president of the Association for the Development and Empowerment of Women and Youth (ADEFJ), she has been at the forefront of initiatives that address critical needs in healthcare, education, and social welfare.

Sona Fall
Menstrual Health Education & Research Intern
Sona currently serves as our menstrual health education and research intern for our Cycle Project. She is a current MPH candidate at New York University School of Global Public Health, concentrating in global health. As a first-generation Senegalese American, Sona is passionate about learning and applying health equity and systems strengthening solutions in Africa and across the African Diaspora. Sona has extensive experience working in reproductive health as a public health educator for the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. Sona is also interested in maternal and child health initiatives across West Africa and beyond.

Fatou Sall
Program Coordinator
Fatou Sall is currently serving as our program coordinator for our Empower Her program. Originally from New York, she is a recent graduate in Healthcare Policy and Management and is passionate about advancing healthcare equity and access for all. In her role, Fatou supports program development, community engagement, and initiatives that connect people to vital resources. She brings experience in health education, digital strategy, and organizational support, with a strong dedication to empowering and helping underserved communities. Fatou hopes to continue building a career that bridges healthcare, policy, and social impact.
