Health and Education for African Children

Africa Children's Foundation delivers vital aid, focusing on health initiatives for African children and long-term education programs in Africa. We address immediate needs with food and medical supplies, inviting medical companies to partner in these efforts. Our focus on public health initiatives in Africa ensures community-wide well-being through health education and infrastructure. Philanthropic support for scholarships and educational resources empowers future generations.

Since 2018, we have worked in Senegal to ensure that children are safe and protected.

Our History

It all began with an idea. After an internship in Senegal in 2018, Maimouna wanted to do something to change the living conditions of children and women not only in Senegal but around West Africa as well. ACF’s main objectives include ensuring women & children have access to the necessities they need to live a comfortable life and creating outlets where they can be their authentic selves.

Our Mission

Africa Children’s Foundation is a 501c(3) public health organization dedicated to preventing and reducing the burden of disease among women and children in West Africa. We advance health equity through community-led research, education, and access to care in four key areas: infectious diseases, oncology, and reproductive health. Our mission is grounded in the belief that gender equity, education, and economic stability are essential to lasting health outcomes. By focusing on prevention, early intervention, and health systems strengthening, we empower communities to thrive and shape their futures.

Our Values

We are guided by our core principles: to teach, protect, and guide. We believe that every woman and child in West Africa deserves access to health, dignity, and opportunity. Our work centers on education, protection, and empowerment, equipping communities with knowledge to prevent disease, ensuring safety and access to care, and breaking cycles of poverty through healthcare, education, and economic stability. We envision a region where no woman or child suffers from preventable illness. To realize this vision, we aim to build community health centers that offer reproductive, pediatric, and preventive services, as well as children’s centers that provide safe housing and education for abandoned or at-risk youth. Through culturally grounded, community-led research and action, ACF addresses the root causes of poor health, focusing on infectious diseases, reproductive health, and oncology, while promoting gender equity and long-term well-being.
